Scaling Agile: Governance & Change

This unit focuses on the governance practices, communication, cost controls, and change strategies needed to scale and sustain Agile across teams and the organization. Students learn to manage budgets, procurement, risk, stakeholder communication, and multi-team coordination using frameworks such as LeSS, Scrum@Scale, and SAFe while preparing an actionable change roadmap.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze Agile cost, budget, and procurement approaches and produce a prioritized budget adjustment plan that aligns iterative delivery with fiscal constraints
• Apply Agile communication and stakeholder-engagement techniques by creating a communication plan and information radiator strategy to increase transparency and reduce disengagement
• Demonstrate risk management proficiency by maintaining a risk register, identifying top risks, and integrating mitigation actions into backlog refinement and sprint planning
• Develop a multi-team coordination and change roadmap using LeSS, Scrum@Scale, and SAFe principles that specifies roles, joint planning events, and transition steps to support sustained organizational agility
