Strategic Ethical AI Leadership

This capstone unit guides learners to synthesize prior learning into actionable, human-centered strategies for adopting and governing AI and data systems. Students will evaluate risks (privacy, deepfakes, bias), apply foresight- and evidence-based decision tools, and design leadership plans that align technology adoption with organizational purpose and sustainability goals.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze organizational data systems, AI applications (e.g., digital twins, deepfakes), and stakeholder impacts to identify technical, ethical, and regulatory risks and opportunities using evidence from case studies and data summaries.
• Apply the Decision Tool (Questions → Insights → Foresights → Adaptive Strategy) and a reflective checklist to develop a time-phased, bankable-foresights plan for responsibly adopting or scaling AI that incorporates privacy safeguards and SDG-aligned objectives.
• Evaluate trade-offs between specialization/generalization, optimization/integration, and short-term gains versus purpose-driven growth to recommend adaptive governance policies and measurable success criteria.
• Demonstrate leadership by producing an implementation brief (executive summary, prioritized action steps, accountability assignments, and metrics) that persuades stakeholders to adopt a human-centered, ethically accelerated technology strategy.
