Scaling Scrum and Enterprise Agility

This capstone unit explores advanced practices for applying Scrum across teams and the enterprise, including scaling frameworks, DevOps integration, and organizational shifts that support sustained agility. Students will synthesize approaches to measurement, roadmapping, sales alignment, and leadership support to recommend and justify scalable Scrum implementations.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze and compare scaling frameworks (e.g., Scrum@Scale, Nexus, SAFe) and select the most appropriate approach for a given organizational context with justification
• Evaluate organizational enablers and barriers (team structures, DevOps practices, leadership support, culture) and propose a prioritized implementation plan to improve predictability and team morale
• Apply metrics-driven techniques to align product goals, roadmaps, and sales-to-value mapping, including basic profit-and-loss considerations, to measure and communicate business outcomes
• Demonstrate strategies for sustaining learning and innovation (testing-in-feedback-loop, certification pathways, leveraging industry experts) and create a rollout plan to embed those strategies in an organization
