Project Execution, Communication, and Leadership

This unit covers execution-focused project management practices including communications planning, schedule and resource development, assumption and risk analysis, and people leadership. Students will integrate PMBOK 7/PMP concepts to produce and critique project artifacts and prepare for capstone application or exam readiness.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze project assumptions and risks and update project artifacts (assumption logs, risk registers) to mitigate uncertainty and inform decision making
• Apply scheduling and work breakdown techniques to create activity sequences, determine start/end dates, and map resource and role assignments using PMBOK/PMP terminology
• Demonstrate interpersonal and leadership strategies to build team alignment, resolve conflicts, acknowledge performance, and communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Evaluate communications, schedule, and resource plans for consistency with PMBOK 7 principles and recommend corrective actions to align project execution with objectives
