This unit introduces how AI creates measurable business value and the organizational, data, and technical foundations required to realize it. Students learn to assess use cases, prioritize opportunities with a data value framework, plan enterprise integration, and design trustworthy, executable AI strategies that prepare them for implementation in later units.

• Analyze industry-specific AI use cases to quantify potential value, identify common value challenges, and rank opportunities using enterprise integration criteria
• Evaluate organizational readiness by assessing required capabilities, cultural barriers to adoption, and technology pipeline requirements against real-world scenarios
• Apply a data value framework and output-based selection criteria to prioritize datasets and AI opportunities and produce actionable, value-focused recommendations
