Flutter UI, Navigation, and Code Quality

This unit develops students’ ability to create multi-page Flutter apps with polished layouts, basic motion/animation, and responsive behavior across devices. It also emphasizes clean code practices—parentheses/precedence, nesting, variable scope, data passing, critique, and developer environment setup—to prepare learners for more advanced app features in subsequent units.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze widget hierarchies and routing to design and implement navigation between pages and pass data from source to destination
• Apply layout, styling, and responsive-design techniques to build visually polished screens and adapt UI for different device sizes
• Demonstrate basic motion and animation techniques (e.g., linear movement and bouncing) and control element positioning using appropriate parentheses, nesting, and sequencing
• Evaluate code quality through self-review and peer review, enforce variable access/encapsulation practices, and configure a development environment for building and debugging Flutter apps
