This unit guides students in translating their Business Management learning into a concrete postsecondary and career action plan. Students synthesize prior coursework to develop professional materials, map education and training steps, and evaluate internships, certifications, and employment options that will launch their careers.
Learning Objectives
- Analyze personal strengths, interests, and regional labor-market data to identify and justify at least two viable business management career pathways and the qualifications each requires
- Apply professional marketing techniques by developing a targeted resume, LinkedIn profile, and 60-second elevator pitch aligned to a selected career pathway
- Demonstrate creation of a 12–24 month individualized career action plan that includes education/training milestones, networking strategies, experiential learning opportunities, and measurable success indicators
- Evaluate postsecondary and experiential options (college programs, certificates, internships, entry-level roles) using cost, time to credential, and alignment with career goals to recommend a next-step pathway
