Becoming Irreplaceable in AI Era

This unit introduces the IRREPLACEABLE concept and establishes foundational knowledge about how AI will reshape work, careers, and organizations. Students will assess AI-driven risks and opportunities, begin developing human-centered strengths (humics), and plan practical steps that prepare them and their workplaces for deeper AI integration in subsequent units.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze trends and scenarios about AI’s impact on jobs by producing a written forecast that identifies at least three role-specific risks and three augmentation opportunities
• Apply the IRREPLACEABLE framework to evaluate a personal role or business by scoring each criterion and proposing three prioritized actions to increase irreplaceability
• Demonstrate strategies to develop humics—creativity, resilience, adaptability, and interpersonal skills—by creating a 4-week personal development plan with measurable milestones
• Evaluate organizational readiness for AI augmentation and design a one-week implementation checklist that includes data management practices, distraction-mitigation tactics, and resilience-building measures
