Agent Templates, Integration, and Deployment

This unit guides students through selecting and building a Copilot agent from templates (with emphasis on the Citizen Services template), integrating external systems, and preparing agents for production through CI/CD and security configuration. Students will also compare deployment contexts and autonomy levels across contact center, public sector, and HR scenarios to inform design and implementation decisions.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze domain-specific scenarios (contact center, public sector, HR) and autonomy requirements to choose appropriate agent templates and determine autonomous vs. semi-autonomous architectures
• Apply the Citizen Services template and prerequisite setup to build a baseline Copilot agent, including template selection and core component assembly
• Demonstrate integration and configuration of external systems by connecting Microsoft Forms and Salesforce Sales Cloud to the agent and configuring the “Run as” user for secure execution
• Evaluate CI/CD pipeline considerations and implement basic pipeline steps to support versioning, deployment, and maintenance of the agent
