Core LSAT Reasoning Skills

This unit develops core logical reasoning, reading-comprehension, and analytical writing skills required for the LSAT, with focused practice on inference, assumption, strengthening/weakening, and timed passage strategies. It builds on foundational concepts from Unit 1 and prepares students for intensive timed practice and advanced question types in subsequent units.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze complex arguments in Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension passages to identify conclusions, premises, assumptions, and common informal logical structures.
• Apply systematic step-by-step approaches and pacing strategies to accurately answer inference, strengthening/support, and weakening questions under timed conditions.
• Demonstrate the ability to construct, score, and revise a practice LSAT writing sample using a standardized rubric and peer/instructor feedback.
• Evaluate answer choices by deconstructing incorrect options and articulating why correct choices follow from passage information to reduce reasoning errors.
