Intermediate Flutter UI and State

This unit covers intermediate Flutter user interface techniques, state updates, input controls, animations, and navigation. Students will build responsive layouts, handle bidirectional data flow and user input, add simple animations and drag interactions, and run and debug apps with Android Studio while exploring local industry tools and resources.

Learning Objectives

• Implement responsive Flutter layouts using Expanded, Flex, and device metrics to adapt UI to varying screen sizes and zero-based indices
• Create and manage interactive input controls (TextField, Radio, Dropdown) and demonstrate passing data between widgets and named routes in both directions
• Apply state management with setState to update UI and implement simple animations (size, color, curved motion) and draggable interactions
• Analyze development workflow by running sample programs in Android Studio and evaluating local industry technologies and developer resources (user groups, meetups) for career context
