Integrated Operations and Supply Chain

This capstone unit synthesizes inventory management, supply chain coordination, quality measurement, process redesign, and information systems to optimize operational performance. Students will apply data-driven tools, continuous improvement methods, project planning, and cybersecurity best practices to produce secure, customer-focused, and efficient operations.

• Analyze supply chain and inventory scenarios to develop strategies that optimize flow, reduce waste, and balance supplier relationships
• Apply quality management tools—including statistical quality control, lean methods, and process metrics—to diagnose process issues and design measurable improvement plans
• Evaluate product and process redesign options, incorporating automation, Agile principles, and project planning techniques to increase operational agility and avoid common implementation mistakes
• Demonstrate implementation of information systems, e-commerce coordination, and cybersecurity practices while integrating human factors to maintain secure, customer-centered operations
