This unit introduces learners to the role of AI in the workplace and the capabilities of Microsoft 365 Copilot, including when and why organizations should adopt Copilot Studio. Learners will build and present a concise business case that applies AI fundamentals and stakeholder considerations to real-world scenarios, preparing them for configuration, governance, and deployment in subsequent units.
Learning Objectives
- Analyze the impacts of AI on business processes by identifying at least three opportunities and three risks for knowledge work within a provided organizational scenario
- Demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot features by mapping at least five Copilot capabilities to specific workplace tasks and designing two example Copilot-assisted workflows
- Evaluate the business case for adopting Copilot by preparing a one-page cost–benefit summary that identifies key stakeholders, expected benefits, costs, and measurable success criteria
- Apply foundations of AI and Copilot Studio suitability criteria to recommend, justify, and present (3–5 minute) whether Copilot Studio is appropriate for a given department or use case
