This unit explores real-world creator case studies and practical resources that support digital entrepreneurship in the creator economy, with a focus on NFT-driven careers and platform strategies. Students will map platforms, funding, legal and community resources and prepare actionable resource plans to support a digital product or campaign.
Learning Objectives
- Analyze the strategies used by featured creators (Cozomo de’ Medici and Micah Johnson) to build value, community, and brand within the NFT and digital-creator ecosystems
- Apply resource-mapping techniques to compile and categorize platforms, funding sources, legal supports, and tools relevant to launching and sustaining a digital product or campaign
- Demonstrate knowledge of intellectual property, licensing, and ethical considerations in digital art and NFT transactions by completing a compliance checklist for a hypothetical drop
- Evaluate and prioritize monetization models, platform features, and partnership opportunities to create a 6–12 month resource plan aligned to a target audience and revenue objective
