Advanced Prompting and AI Implementation

This capstone unit synthesizes practical prompt engineering, deployment, and governance for business contexts. Students learn to design and adapt prompts across channels, implement AI-driven workflows (including chatbots and plugins), and address ethical, security, cost, and career considerations to maintain operational effectiveness as AI evolves.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze real-world business scenarios to determine appropriate uses of generative AI, identify model strengths and limitations, and recommend risk mitigation strategies for at least three distinct contexts
• Apply prompt design best practices to create and customize prompts for multiple use cases (e.g., marketing automation, social media, chatbot interactions, and content repurposing) while avoiding verbatim misuse and ensuring required output quality
• Demonstrate implementation of an AI-enabled workflow (such as a chatbot with human-in-the-loop escalation, a content automation pipeline, or integration using plugins/custom GPTs), documenting cost-saving measures, security controls, and operational parameters
• Evaluate ethical, legal, and cybersecurity implications of deploying generative AI, assess the impact on job roles and decision-making, and develop a plan for continuous upskilling to future-proof professional practice
