This capstone unit synthesizes customer-centered research and AI-aware interaction patterns into novel UX designs (including mobile copilots) and prepares students for effective design-to-development handoffs. Students will apply bookending and copilot patterns, document final deliverables, and plan collaboration strategies with data science and engineering as AI-driven change continues.

- Analyze customer needs and journey touchpoints to identify opportunities for AI-enabled copilots and prioritize design decisions accordingly
- Apply bookending and copilot design patterns to create at least one novel mobile copilot prototype with documented interaction flows and rationale
- Demonstrate preparation of comprehensive handoff artifacts (annotated wireframes, acceptance criteria, data requirements, and developer notes) for an AI-enabled feature
- Evaluate the UX designer’s role in AI projects and formulate a communication plan for asking focused technical questions and collaborating effectively with data science and engineering teams
