Students will learn to analyze audience needs, create user personas, and map stakeholder priorities to curriculum decisions to prepare for designing instruction and materials in the next unit.
Learning Objectives
- Analyze the intended audience for a business-management learning resource by identifying at least three demographic, professional, and learning-preference criteria and documenting findings in a brief profile
- Apply stakeholder-mapping techniques to classify primary, secondary, and tertiary audiences and justify those classifications with evidence from course goals or industry context
- Demonstrate creation of two learner personas that capture needs, motivations, barriers, and success criteria, and use them to inform at least two pedagogical choices
- Evaluate the alignment between identified audience needs and pathway standards, recommending at least two revisions to scope, sequencing, or support materials to better serve target users
