Operationalizing Digital Transformation

This unit guides learners through designing operational models, readiness assessments, and implementation practices needed to move from strategy to scaled digital and AI solutions. Students will plan cloud and automation approaches, organize data product teams, establish reuse and stage‑gate governance, and identify talent needs to prepare for implementation in the final unit.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze alternative operating model designs and justify a recommended structure that aligns with organizational strategy and transformation goals
• Apply cloud disposition and migration planning techniques to produce a migration approach and identify candidate processes for automation via code
• Evaluate data readiness and design a data product pod structure, including roles, responsibilities, and an assetization method to enable solution reuse
• Demonstrate a stage‑gate tracking framework and produce a talent gap assessment with an actionable internal sourcing and hiring plan
