LSAT Foundations and Law School Planning

This unit introduces the LSAT’s structure, basic logical reasoning and reading comprehension strategies, and the law‑school selection and application process. It builds on pre-course orientation and prepares students for deeper, section‑specific practice and advanced test tactics in subsequent units.

• Analyze the LSAT test format, timing, section types, and scoring rules to create a personalized test‑day and study strategy
• Apply targeted test‑taking tactics—including time management, educated guessing, and section‑specific approaches—during timed practice to improve accuracy and pacing
• Evaluate and compare law school programs and admissions requirements to develop a list of target, reach, and safety schools aligned with academic profile and career goals
• Demonstrate foundational logical reasoning and reading comprehension skills and administrative readiness by classifying common question types, resolving discrepancy/paradox items, summarizing passages, and accurately completing a practice exam answer sheet and application forms
