Immune, Digestive, Sensory, Review

This culminating unit integrates immune system function, digestive organ roles (small intestine and liver), musculoskeletal articulations, and sensory system physiology while providing extensive practice and assessment feedback. Students synthesize and apply knowledge from earlier units through targeted quizzes, review activities, and formative practice problems to prepare for summative evaluation and advanced coursework.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze cellular and humoral immune responses, including antigen recognition, antibody production, and immunological memory, to predict outcomes of common immune challenges and vaccinations
• Apply anatomical and physiological principles to explain the roles of the small intestine and liver in digestion, nutrient absorption, metabolism, and detoxification
