Microsoft 365 Fundamentals and Collaboration

This unit introduces core Microsoft 365 applications, cloud storage, and collaboration workflows, emphasizing Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Outlook, and the basics of Excel and PowerPoint. It also provides an introduction to the Power Platform and Power BI concepts and covers device personalization and basic management to prepare students for building solutions and deeper technical tasks in subsequent units.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze Microsoft 365 services and app purposes to determine appropriate tools and workflows for common workplace scenarios.
• Apply Microsoft Teams features (channels, chats, meetings, webinars, and calling) to set up, run, and manage synchronous and asynchronous collaboration.
• Demonstrate cloud file management and collaboration by organizing, syncing, and coauthoring documents in OneDrive and SharePoint and configuring Outlook for professional communication.
• Evaluate basic Power Platform and Power BI concepts, gather user requirements for simple apps/reports, and apply device personalization and foundational device-management practices to secure and optimize user environments.
