Advanced Prompting and Production

This unit deepens students’ ability to apply ChatGPT to complex, domain-specific media production tasks by teaching advanced prompting strategies, multi-persona collaborations, and practical deployment topics (e.g., technical documentation, real-time translation, AR/VR, IT operations). Students will practice verification and quality-control methods, handle operational constraints (token limits, chat history), and prepare ethical, legal, and implementation plans for integrating AI into production workflows.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze AI-generated content for accuracy, bias, misinformation, and quality, and implement verification and refinement strategies to mitigate content-swamp issues.
• Apply advanced prompting techniques to design and test multi-persona AI interactions, environment/scene prompts, and domain-specific outputs (e.g., video scripts, technical docs, AR/VR scenarios), demonstrating efficient token management and use of chat history.
• Demonstrate integration of ChatGPT into production workflows by developing and documenting a prototype plan for technical support, automation, or real-time language translation and by producing deployment-ready artifacts.
• Evaluate ethical, legal, and operational implications of deploying AI in media production and propose concrete mitigation strategies addressing privacy, bias, educational impacts, and business-model considerations.
