Applied Prompting and Integration

This unit develops practical skills for crafting, refining, and deploying generative AI outputs across text, audio, and visual formats. Students learn advanced prompt techniques, model and UI selection, embedding and aggregation workflows, and the legal/ethical practices needed to humanize and safely integrate AI into real-world media and production tasks.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze ChatGPT user interface features and model-selection options to justify appropriate configurations for at least two distinct digital content scenarios (e.g., podcast audio, customer service chatbot).
• Apply prompt engineering methods — including chaining, structural manipulation, data injection, and style specification — to produce and iterate targeted written, audio, or visual assets for a defined audience and purpose.
• Evaluate legal, ethical, and misinformation risks (copyright/IP, attribution, manipulation) and develop mitigation and attribution strategies for at least two deployment use cases.
• Integrate ChatGPT capabilities into external workflows by embedding or aggregating models and demonstrate a functioning prototype (such as a personalized chatbot, resume generator, or data visualization) that humanizes responses and personalizes user interactions.
