Course Navigation and Note‑Taking

This unit orients learners to the curriculum by teaching how to find answers in the textbook and related digital resources and by introducing disciplined note‑taking practices. Students will practice locating information, documenting references, and creating a personal learning plan to prepare for deeper business management topics in subsequent units.

Learning Objectives

• analyze the organizational structure of the course materials by identifying at least five navigation features (e.g., table of contents, lesson FAQs, glossary, index, online links) and explaining the purpose of each
• apply effective note‑taking strategies by producing a one‑page annotated outline for each lesson that summarizes key points and records where to find supporting answers and resources
• demonstrate the ability to locate answers by correctly retrieving and citing three distinct course resources (e.g., FAQ entry, glossary definition, external link) in response to instructor prompts
• evaluate personal learning needs and create a one‑page resource and study plan that prioritizes at least two adjustments to note‑taking or resource use to support success in subsequent units
