This unit examines real-world blockchain and Web3 use cases, the role of digital identity, and how value (V) is created and captured using the Five emPOWERments framework. Students will also develop team structures, run facilitated brainstorming to generate two-sided marketplace concepts, and assess non‑technical risks to prepare for prototyping and implementation in subsequent units.
Learning Objectives
- Analyze and compare at least three blockchain and Web3 use cases across industries, identifying their core value drivers and stakeholder impacts
- Apply the Five emPOWERments framework to a chosen product or service to create a documented value map that prioritizes opportunities for adoption and monetization
- Demonstrate team-building and facilitation skills by designing a Rabbit Team structure, leading a team brainstorming session, and producing a two-sided marketplace concept with defined roles and workflows
- Evaluate non-technical factors (including digital identity, legal, ethical, and user-adoption considerations) that affect Web3 projects and recommend at least two mitigation strategies for identified risks
