AI Modes and Integrity Transitions

This unit examines Human-First, AI-First, and Fusion modes and how organizations design blueprints, operating models, and human capital strategies to transition between them while preserving artificial integrity. Students will learn to prioritize data-driven design, ethical guardrails, and practical transition plans that move systems from marginal or human-centric approaches toward co-intelligent AI-enabled models.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze the differences, trade-offs, and appropriate application contexts of Human-First, AI-First, and Fusion modes and justify mode selection for at least three real-world software/system scenarios
• Apply a blueprint-over-structure approach to design an AI-driven operating model that maps data-first processes, algorithmic boosts, governance guardrails, and human role/value transitions in a 2–3 page blueprint
• Demonstrate a transition plan to move a project from marginal or Human-First mode to AI-First or Fusion mode, including milestones, reskilling strategies, metrics for success, and change-management steps
• Evaluate ethical stands and accountability mechanisms by assessing case studies for risks and proposing concrete mitigation strategies that align with principles of artificial integrity
