Deploying and Sustaining Lean Six Sigma

This unit focuses on translating Lean Six Sigma principles into a practical, organization-aware deployment plan and sustaining improvements over time. Students learn to integrate tools (Kanban, QFD, preventive maintenance, root cause analysis) with change management, stakeholder roles, and digital communication to avoid common project traps and prepare for full-scale implementation.

• Analyze organizational culture, size, and sector to identify deployment barriers and adapt Lean Six Sigma strategies accordingly
• Apply Lean and Agile tools (flow, Kanban, QFD, preventive maintenance, design thinking) and CTQ analysis to prioritize and plan measurable improvements
• Demonstrate root cause analysis and problem‑solving techniques to quantify opportunity, select improvements, and design sustainment actions
• Evaluate change management needs, stakeholder roles, communication strategies (golden thread, internet/social media), and common pitfalls to create a plan for sustaining and updating the program
