Finalizing Proposals with AI

This unit guides learners through finishing, submitting, and defending grant proposals while responsibly integrating AI tools. Students will prepare submission-ready materials, craft persuasive presentations, document partnerships and follow-up plans, and balance AI assistance with human oversight.

Learning Objectives

• Analyze reviewer perspectives by creating a reviewer-journey map and revising at least two proposal sections to address the top three reviewer criteria identified
• Apply AI tools responsibly to draft, edit, and proofread proposal components, documenting prompts, sources, and human edits for at least three distinct sections (e.g., narrative, budget justification, partnership letters)
• Demonstrate submission readiness by completing a comprehensive checklist and producing final, formatted versions of all required documents (narrative, budget, attachments, compliance forms) that meet RFP specifications
• Evaluate and deliver a persuasive 10-minute proposal presentation with Q&A and produce a one-page follow-up strategy that documents partnership commitments, next steps, and mitigation of AI-dependence risks
